Tides Of Tomorrow is like co-op for the socially anxious, letting players work together, or not, without any of that icky talking business. The story and exploration might not feel shiny and new, but the clever twist on consequences is a successful experiment.

While I don't think Tides of Tomorrow rises to the same narrative highs as Road 96, its primary incentive is a great draw.

Tides Of Tomorrow is a brilliant, genuinely fresh experience that breathes completely new life into narrative adventure games. The asynchronous multiplayer loop is incredibly clever, creating a constant internal struggle over whether to fix or ruin the worlds of the players before you.

In the end, Tides of Tomorrow is a beautiful kaleidoscope of possibilities, fractured by a clichéd script and some reductive gameplay sequences. The environmental design is vivid and evocative, revealing the majesty of the natural world prevailing over plastic waste. The story seed system was a genuinely interesting narrative experiment, and the resource management elements led to some superb tension in both the story and the multiplayer interactions. I hope this studio keeps experimenting with the unique ways video games can tell a story, because the ideas coming out of the Digixart lab are what make the future of the industry so exciting.

Tides of Tomorrow is an emotional, creative and surprisingly clever evolution of the ideas introduced in Road 96. Outstanding.

Tides of Tomorrow has interesting ideas, with the choice and player based decision making creating unique situations. At the same time, it can feel like someone else's story, with middling gameplay design.

Although this is a theme we have already encountered many times in the past, the game manages to present it in a way that resonates and leaves a lasting impression.

Overall Tides of Tomorrow really blew my expectations out of the water (pardon the pun) and gave me an experience that was both immersive, enjoyable and truly original. It’s a breath of fresh air when a studio doesn’t follow the same old boring tropes that we’ve come to expect as gamers and delivers us something truly unique. And because of that originality and unique feature of asynchronous multiplayer, giving the gameplay this whole new refreshing aspect (plus the awesome sound design, voice acting and soundtrack) I’m happy to give Tides of Tomorrow a well deserved 10/10.

Tides of Tomorrow offers a unique asynchronous multiplayer experience in an intriguing world with gorgeous visuals. Some choices lack impact, and the Tides of Time mechanic is over-used a little. But this is a journey with taking!
