Like all Demon Turf's tools, how you use it is up to you, so if you want a vicious challenge or a guided tour, that's your call. There are enough movement modifiers that even the most difficult sections can be made possible with a little perseverance, putting Beebz and her crew that much closer to successfully platforming their way through their newest adventure.

Demon Tides is a charming, quirky, and enjoyable 3D platformer. It not only balances open-world design and storytelling surprisingly well, but it also makes controlling Beebz an absolute joy, ensuring every type of player can find their preferred style. While it’s a bit disappointing that there isn't more voice acting, I truly believe this is a game that platformer fans both new and old should experience. As a veteran of the genre myself, I enjoyed it immensely!

“Demon Tides” is more than a fantastic evolution of “Demon Turf”. It shows how platforming games can be both accessible for newcomers and still challenging to veterans by not gatekeeping its movement tools. Instead, it opts for an expression-based game, where you can leave your mark in the world. And, in return, it left its mark on me.

Demon Tides is an addictive open-world platformer that excels through its deep, expressive movement system and vibrant art style. While the corny dialogue and minor technical jank occasionally distract, the sheer freedom and charm make it a standout indie gem, that speedrunners won’t want to miss.

Demon Tides makes platforming easy with a large world to explore and various ways to interact with it. The freedom to explore the world as you wish while slowly improving your abilities is genuinely rewarding. It takes lots of time to learn with lots of methods to get through different challenges. It’s a great platformer that is welcoming to newcomers and challenging for veterans.

An excellent 3D platformer that rather than just trying to copy Nintendo has plenty of ideas of its own, with some thrilling freeform action.
