Posthumous Investigation is among the most creative experiences recently produced by the Brazilian game industry. By combining elements of classic national literature with suspense and investigation, the title builds an engaging adventure, capable of captivating the player's attention through both its narrative and its mechanics.
Read full review ↗The Posthumous Investigation is an interesting title, one that adapts incredible works of fiction into an interactive experience. While the mechanics aren’t the most inventive or interesting, and certain quality-of-life features would make the game far more enjoyable to play, you’re bound to find yourself wrapped up in the game’s fun writing and characters, fantastic art, and exciting mystery.
Read full review ↗The Posthumous Investigation is an atmospheric noir adventure with a striking black-and-white style, a strong sense of place, well-written characters, and an intriguing time-loop mystery. Its lack of a clear resolution, weaker minigames, and a few underused locations may disappoint players expecting a classic detective payoff, but with the right mindset, its unusual approach can make the experience even more memorable.
Read full review ↗Posthumous Investigation doesn't just rely on paying homage to one of the great classics of Brazilian literature; beyond the retelling, it delivers a game that respects your freedom and intelligence as a player by presenting a game with little guidance and full of puzzles that only the best point-and-click games know how to do.

It’s an intriguing character study that keeps you guessing and makes you wonder, who truly was the culprit and why? What in the human condition made this man both so loved and hated? You’ll have to play to find out.

The narrative is engaging, the noir aesthetic is well-resolved, the soundtrack fulfills its role with personality, and the time loop mechanic offers enough depth to keep the player engaged throughout the entire campaign with a strong cultural identity and the potential to win over an audience beyond indie game fans.
