The Jackbox Party Pack 9 has more hits than misses and the hits came in some unexpected spots. Even the games that were expected to be good wound up being far better than I could have anticipated. Add this to some noteworthy quality-of-life improvements, like the ability to log into a room using a QR code, and Jackbox Games continues to bring the goods. As long as the team keeps things simple, there's no reason to stop adding The Jackbox Party Pack to your regular game night rotation. It remains as reliable as it gets.

Overall, The Jackbox Party Pack 9 is average, so if you're looking for new material for virtual get-togethers, this is a serviceable option. Fibbage 4 is dependable, and Junktopia was a pleasant surprise. The enjoyment of Nonsensory and Quixort is heavily dependent on the prompts that players receive in each of those minigames. I can't imagine anyone willingly returning to Roomerang.

The Jackbox Party Pack 9 is an excellent addition to the series. There is definitely more good than bad in this edition and fans will be delighted. The only piece that is really missing is an interesting drawing game; there is a round of drawing in Nonsensory, but it is not the center of attention. On the other hand, thanks to transduction we will be able to have this and future installments adapted to our language.

As the series nears its tenth entry, you'd think that the creative minds at Jackbox might be running out of ideas, but Jackbox Party Pack 9 suggests that they're only just starting to hit their collective stride.

Another fine and varied selection of titles from the Jackbox stable, with something that will appeal to everyone in your party.

The Jackbox Party Pack 9 is another great entry in this yearly trivia series. You have a new Fibbage entry for those looking for something familiar along with some fun new games like Quixort and Junktopia. Roomerang and Nonsensory didn’t speak to me as much but those with different groups may enjoy them more. If you usually enjoy this series then I have no doubt you’ll get plenty of laughs out of this ninth outing.

If you have never played Jackbox Games before Jackbox Party Pack 9 is definitely a great place to start. The game features three very enjoyable game modes and one adequate game mode. Honestly, you can skip Quixort. But if you have a group of friends that you like to play with or enjoy streaming, Jackbox Party Pack 9 is a great game to play with others.

Nonsensory feels like the "newest" of the 5 games on The Jackbox Party Pack 9, in an otherwise middling collection by the masters of mirth.

Overall then, The Jackbox Party Pack 9 is a strong mix of titles, with a nice variety of all sorts of party games. Prefer something that will actually test your general knowledge? There’s Quixort. Want something completely random and silly? Go for Junktopia. Like the idea of pretending to be someone else? Opt for Roomerang. Add to the mix a wonderful presentation, plenty of humour and, of course, Cookie Masterson, and you’ve got one of the best Jackbox collections we’ve played in some time.

The Jackbox Party Pack 9 is one of the better entries in the annual series although it still doesn't manage to reach the heights of the first installment. Perhaps we'll see a day when Jackbox Games will capture lightning in a bottle like that again; I sure hope we do!
