RIDE 6 suffers in the technical areas with inconsistent visuals and bike sounds, along with a good bit of random, yet quick loading times. With more content coming in the future, this is the game that squids and twisty riders have been waiting for.

Ride 6 is an upgrade for the series, but it suffers from some recurring issues.

"Ride 6 is a magnificent testament to Milestone’s undeniable expertise in the two-wheeled racing genre. With a completely overhauled physics engine that masterfully captures rider weight distribution and tire simulation, it offers the most authentic and rewarding motorcycle handling to date. The stunning dynamic weather effects and meticulous bike modeling make it a visual treat for motorsport fans. However, a sterile, formulaic Career mode and overly robotic AI prevent it from securing a podium finish. For purists seeking raw mechanical depth and high-speed tension, Ride 6 remains the undisputed king of the track."

Ride 6 is a solid motorbike game that replicates the sensation of piloting a two-wheeled rocket at 150 miles per hour with a solid simulation model that constantly pushed me to improve my lines. But the shader compilation stutters, and high system requirements do put a damper on the experience for PC owners. Not to mention, a lot of new content is being shelled off as DLC, which is a kind of disingenuous.

RIDE 6 manages to be a great simulator that also embraces arcade elements to make the experience more comprehensive. Fans of the series may not be impacted, but they won't be disappointed either. Now, if you're a beginner on two wheels, you'll certainly have a lot of fun and learn a lot, if you have patience and persistence.

RIDE 6 won’t have it easy at all in the racing game market. On the one hand, the developers have managed to create a broader scope for motorcycle gameplay, which is accompanied by much greater accessibility for new players and more manageable controls that won’t frustrate you as much as they did in the past. Add to that the new off-road tracks and nearly 300 licensed bikes. However, all of this is undermined by the new career mode, RIDE Fest, which lacks a certain vibrancy and any real reason to spend dozens of hours with the game or strive for career advancement. Unfortunately, this isn’t Forza, where you can let loose in an open world. That’s not to say that RIDE 6 is a bad game. Personally, I’d give it a 7, mainly for the driving model and the new gravel racing feature. However, it’s a 7 with a big exclamation point and a warning that the next installment needs a revolution—not just more of the same. So who should I recommend this game to? If, for some reason, you found RIDE 5 too difficult, you’ll struggle much less with RIDE 6, and it will be an interesting racing game for you. However, if you’re a die-hard fan, some of the changes might not be entirely to your liking, in which case we recommend either waiting for a sale or simply skipping this installment.

Thanks to its more flexible career mode, much improved handling for those looking — and the addition of an arcade style for newcomers — “RIDE6” finally takes the crown of “RIDE 4” as the best motorcycle game on the market right now.

RIDE 6 represents the pinnacle of the Milestone franchise's maturation, with a vast and varied content offering, and a RIDE Fest career mode that rewards freedom of choice without sacrificing progression. The scalable driving model between Arcade and Pro modes, combined with excellent graphics and top-notch performance, makes this title a must-have for two-wheeled enthusiasts, capable of satisfying both newcomers and hardcore sim-racers.

Ride 6 improves on its predecessor with a stronger career mode, better presentation, and more variety, even if some areas like editors and character models still feel outdated.
