How 2 Escape: Lost Submarine has a simple, minimalistic visual style that goes well with its theme. The interior of the submarine is metallic, dark, and operational. The level design reflects this environment, where functionality takes precedence over ostentation. It won't impress you with its state-of-the-art graphics, but the game's tone is wonderfully complemented by the muted color scheme, steady lighting, and practical layouts.

Ultimately, How 2 Escape: Lost Submarine isn’t trying to be a blockbuster title. It’s tight, focused, and unapologetically niche. But it succeeds at what it sets out to do: deliver an intense, collaborative escape-room experience across two very different platforms. Whether you’re the one piecing together circuit boards in the dark or decoding pressure systems from afar, the feeling of shared triumph when you finally break free is undeniable.

How 2 Escape: Lost Submarine is a masterful piece of game design. If you’re a fan of escape rooms, this is an absolute must-have. You don’t need to buy two copies to play together, and the clever puzzles provide over six hours of intense co-op fun. Both the PS5 game and mobile app are excellently crafted. Fans of We Were Here or Split Screen Fiction rejoice: this is your next adventure. This is a game that will not only test your brain, but also your mutual bond.

While there’s a definite risk you and your partner will get stuck, and the in-game hint system is pretty well worthless, it’s a distinctive challenge

How 2 Escape: Lost Submarine, which was developed by Breakfirst Games, is more akin to a psychological examination than it is to conventional video games. The experience will force you to engage in more in-depth thought, put your patience to the test, and put your relationships to the test. It is a tremendous combination of excitement, cognitive challenges, and emotional payoffs, and if you are up to the challenge, How 2 Escape: Lost Submarine is a game that you should try, a bold, lean masterstroke in asymmetric game design.
