Enigma of Fear is an ambitious and original game that strives to combine retro visuals with a dark and atmospheric detective story. A compelling story, interesting characters, an atmospheric setting, and original gameplay make Enigma of Fear an intriguing title that deserves your attention. However, the game also has its flaws. The story can sometimes seem overly complicated, the gameplay slightly repetitive, and the open world somewhat confined. Despite these minor shortcomings, Enigma of Fear is a very promising debut and showcases the potential of Dumativa studio.

Characters, plot and puzzles will captivate us for more or less 20 hours almost without blinking except for the moments when we get stuck in one of the puzzles.

Enigma of Fear is a triumph in storytelling and investigation design. Its blend of deep lore, creative puzzles, and a haunting atmosphere makes it an unforgettable experience for fans of mystery games. While the combat and movement systems leave room for improvement, they don’t overshadow the game’s many strengths. For players who enjoy piecing together intricate mysteries and exploring richly detailed worlds, Enigma of Fear is a must-play. With its emotional story, stunning art, and immersive mechanics, it sets a high bar for investigative games and leaves players eager for more adventures in the world of Ordo Realitas.

Enigma of Fear offers strong value for its price, combining a rich narrative, challenging puzzles, and an atmospheric world. It may not be the longest game, but its depth and replayability make it worthwhile. The graphics and sound design are notable for their creativity, with a striking mix of 2D and 3D visuals and an atmospheric soundtrack that draws you deeper into the game's world.

Enigma of Fear not only delivers on what it promises, but also exceeds expectations in many aspects. The puzzles are exceptional, offering a level of challenge that is rare in current games, which often opt for more simplified experiences. Despite the limitations in combat and the limited variety of enemies, the game makes up for it with memorable and challenging boss battles, as well as a captivating narrative and an immersive setting.

Since starting Enigma of Fear, I just haven’t put it down. The levels are well designed, back-tracking does become annoying, but with the amount of fun I had, it’s easily forgiven. I love the puzzles in the game that really challenged me, such as the statues. Lupi is adorable, and the cast is great. Although I’m not a huge fan of Agatha’s voice. The music fits the scene and really helps set the tone. The game is just so interesting and captivating. Enigma of Fear is going into my replay pile, right with Crow Country. Gameplay is fun and engaging, but I do wish there were less notes. I understand developers use them for world building, but I wish they would try other ways. Such as videos or just another cinematic. I appreciate this is more a pet peeve of mine with games in general rather than just this one though. The teams at Dumativa, and Cellbit achieved something great here. Now, honestly, the only thing mystery I have is, why isn’t anyone playing or talking about Enigma of Fear more? Enigma of Fear is fully deserving of the Thumb Culture Platinum Award.

With the help of fans and a laudable work and dedication, Dumativa's developers alongside Cellbit managed to create not only a game that does justice to Ordem Paranormal's Universe, but also does it as a big project in the Brazilian industry.

A nostalgic trip down the survival horror lane, Enigma of Fear blends retro aesthetics with modern 3D animation, creating a visually captivating experience. Despite its charming art style, the game's interface and presentation can leave players lost and puzzled. With a focus on challenging puzzles and an eerie atmosphere, it demands keen observation and memory. While some aspects, like the navigation and UI, fall short, the solid writing and engaging combat make it a worthwhile adventure for old-school horror fans.
