Cozy Caravan

With an emphasis on enjoying the journey and interacting positively with NPCs, Cozy Caravan is an uplifting, adorable adventure sim. It offers around 20 hours of fun gameplay, and stands out with its massive character and caravan customization options. Upgrade yourself, your workshop, and your transportation, and enjoy the ride!

The game is really basic in a good way. I never feel pressured to do the market, and gathering happiness is easy. Cosy Caravan does however, get a little boring rather quickly. So I would probably play it in maybe small 2-hour sessions. Its world is nice, relaxing, and the lo-fi makes it feel homely, without taking away from itself. But this isn’t for those expecting faster progression. So it is hit or miss depending really on what you expect from a cosy game. For me Cosy Caravan is getting the Thumb Culture Silver Award.

It's very cute and charming, but the gameplay loop is just too slow for my liking. There are also other choices that just don't make sense to me, like I wish there was an actual, trackable quest log. There's a lot to like, but if you want any amount of friction to your gameplay I'd recommend looking elsewhere. However, if you just want to relax in a cute world as a cute cartoon animal, you could do much worse than cozy Caravan.

Cozy Caravan delivers a light and welcoming experience, supported by charming art direction, solid customization options, and a progression system that consistently feels rewarding. While mission repetition, interface issues, and camera limitations hold it back from greater refinement, its cozy atmosphere and relaxing nature make it a good choice for players seeking comfort rather than challenge.

I truly think that the Switch is the perfect home for Cozy Caravan. It’s easy to pick it up, do a few things or complete a day and then put it down. There may be a few issues, but I enjoyed my time with it. Some people did complain about the stop-motion animation making them sick, but the developers have added an accessibility option to turn it off. There are also accessibility options for the hopscotch minigame, as some people had issues with that. Regardless of your age or ability, there’s something for everyone in this wholesome, adorable lesson presented as a game.

I enjoyed the heck out of the gameplay, and somewhat importantly, it scratches the collecting itch. I want to keep playing, but I’ll probably do it on Steam because of the Switch's performance and skip the Apple Arcade subscription.

Cozy Caravan is an adorable single-player cozy game that allows you to explore towns, harvest different items, cook, bake, or sew those items into something new, sell them at the market, and upgrade your caravan. This slow-paced, open world game is a sweet little gem that is both relaxing and entertaining, and a great addition to any cozy gamer's collection.

Cozy Caravan is one of the most unique experiences I've had, and it's elevated even further by the evident love the 5 Lives Studios pours into it.

I genuinely feel like a proud parent whenever I show off my Cozy Caravan character. The game does a lot to create a warm, comforting atmosphere that feels especially welcome right now. It’s the kind of game I’ll happily keep checking in on after finishing the review. If you’re looking for a new cozy game to sink into or a game like Animal Crossing, Cozy Caravan should absolutely be at the top of your list.
