Why play it

Arknights: Endfield is a 2026 Adventure, Role-playing (RPG), Strategy game rated 7.2/10 from 55 ratings, with a main story of about 1,018.5h, available on Android, iOS, PC (Microsoft Windows), PlayStation 5.

Arknights: Endfield is a 3D real-time strategy RPG developed by HYPERGRYPH. You will take on the role of the Endministrator of Endfield Industries, set out across Talos-II to uncover its secrets, and defend and expand the frontiers of human civilization.

Story and worldbuilding

Welcome to Talos-II, a world of breathtaking beauty and constant danger. The earliest settlers braved wars and disasters, and through more than 150 years of relentless effort, they carved out a foothold and laid out a new foundation for humanity — the Civilization Band. Yet most of this world remains untamed. Vast wildlands and uninhabited territories stretching toward the horizon still await exploration. Every step forward is shadowed by threats — whether remnants of the past or dangers never before seen. Expansion and exploration, as well as continuity and progression, are the eternal themes throughout the evolution of civilization, and the ultimate pursuit of every life that constitutes it. As the Endministrator of Endfield Industries, you will lead your operators to defend and expand the frontiers of humanity. Your Originium engines rumble in the wildlands while production machinery works around the clock to deploy new AIC Factory production lines. Explore the world of Talos-II and gather various resources. Use the AIC Factory to overcome dangers and work with the operators to build a better homeland for humanity. A new era of change has dawned upon this ancient world. Time to make your choice, Endministrator.

Arknights: Endfield is a fresh take on a gacha game that tries to divert expectations with factory-building, but never quite breaks the wheel.

Familiar yet different, Arknights: Endfield's introduction of automation takes this open world gacha in an unusually compelling direction. While its eye-rolling reliance on proper nouns and lore make its sci-fi plot less compelling than it could be, a strong battle system and outstanding PS5 optimisation give this live service the best possible start.

Arknights: Endfield is easily one of the best examples of gacha gaming, thanks to feeling like the gaming comes before the gacha.

Arknights: Endfield isn’t just a gacha game; it’s a well-rounded title that offers hours and hours of gameplay, from exploring dungeons to developing industrial facilities. It seems almost impossible to access such a wealth of content without spending a single penny, especially given the high-quality graphics and sound. Perhaps the plot isn’t particularly original, and the gacha system can be frustrating, but these are details you can overlook if you decide to fully immerse yourself in the experience this title has to offer.

Arknights: Endfield feels more like a modern JRPG than a usual mobile-first gacha game, especially on PC, where the resolutions are higher. and the frame pacing is smoother. Sound design is another important part.

Arknights: Endfield is a very good game, but unfortunately, the initial pace is quite slow. If you can get through the tedious first two hours, you'll find yourself playing a great RPG with an automation theme. At times, you might even forget that this is a gacha game, because it's so enjoyable in this regard that it doesn't push these elements to the forefront.

One of the most beautiful gacha games, and a surprisingly successful attempt to mimic games like Satisfactory. It's a shame the slow start and unfair gacha system might put some players off.

Arknights Endfield has proven that it is not just an extension of Arknights but a standalone experience that blends action exploration and factory management in a unique way and although some of its systems take time to get used to it delivers a rich and enjoyable experience that rewards players who give it a chance In the end Hypergryph has succeeded in creating one of the best mobile games thanks to its high quality and fresh ideas that allow it to go beyond the traditional gacha game formula making it an excellent experience for all mobile gaming fans

Arknights: Endfield has the makings to be one of 2026's standout titles—a decent story that has potential, multiple engaging gameplay mechanics, a vibrant world to explore, and solid audio and visual design. Aside from the gacha system that not many people may be used to, it deserves high marks everywhere else. Its future is bright, and they can only keep going up from here.
