Why play it

Wreck Runners is a 1-4 player online co-op extraction game set in a haunted and ever-changing Bermuda Triangle. Hired by the suspiciously cheerful Trustwell Corporation, your crew of runners is sent in to recover valuable salvage. We expect you may find far more than sunken wrecks waiting in the Fog.

While it still has room to grow in enemy variety, item explanation and mission diversity, the core gameplay loop remains strong. The combination of physics-driven teamwork, extraction mechanics and supernatural exploration gives Wreck Runners an identity all its own. If you’ve been looking for the next great cooperative game to enjoy with friends, this is one worth climbing aboard for.

Wreck Runners exists in a world filled with extraction games, but it does a pretty good job of differentiating itself.

Overall, Wreck Runners can be a fun experience here and there. And if you are looking to dive into the “friendslop” genre, especially on console, it’s an okay start. However, don’t go into it expecting a deep story or even specific gameplay mechanics. Because even though the co-op is there, it’s what you and your friends do that makes it count.
