Overall, Toodee and Topdee is fantastically imaginative puzzle game with exceptional variety wrung out of its core conceit. It struggles most when it asks for dynamic execution of puzzle solutions, but even then it’s pretty decent. This side-on / top-down puzzler is one that other games should look up to.
Read full review ↗Toodee And Topdee is a title that is perhaps a bit presumptuous because it decides to “step on the gas” not realizing that it has given the gamer a Fiat Panda. But beyond that, it remains a brilliant mix of 2D platformer and top-down puzzler graced with impressive playful variety. And for that we recommend it.
Read full review ↗Toodee and Topdee is an interesting twist that blends two classic platforming perspectives to create clever and enjoyable puzzles. The same adjectives hold true for the story, which gives narrative context with its amusing, metalinguistic dialogue. Most of the time the active participation of the duo is well balanced, although this isn't always the case. I recommend the cooperative mode, but this game can also be fully appreciated by those who will play it solo.
Read full review ↗Toodee and Topdee is a unique game that actually does almost everything right in its simplicity. It's nice that you can go both co-op and alone in the many levels of the game. In terms of replay value, you may not be able to finish the game again, but if you want you can also try to collect all the ladybugs that walk through the levels. Each chapter brings its new features, including blocks that fall down, or buttons that bring up or remove certain platforms. The bosses are also quite challenging, but by adjusting the difficulty you can still overcome each level quite easily. It is therefore up to the player to determine the balance, although the contrast between those difficulties is quite large.

Read full review ↗Toodee and Topdee delivers on the promise of its brilliant concept. It can be a little hard to wrap your mind around, but once you start thinking in 2D/top-down hybrid design, the puzzles are a delight and if you get stumped, you can make use of the assist options. This is a remarkable puzzle platformer on Switch that stands out from the crowd.
Read full review ↗Toodee and Topdee is simple in a brilliant way, mixing two ideas otherwise basic, but that together compose a very fun adventure filled with creative puzzle platforming challenges. Its protagonists are charismatics and the dialogue between them and the other characters in the game are humorous and metalinguistic. Ever since I saw it for the first time, I've been fascinated by it and avoided a deeper look to avoid spoilers, waiting for a Switch release. Predictably, it didn't disappoint me, and I forward my excitement to anyone who loves a good puzzle, a good platformer and a good mix of genres.
