TEVI is a pleasant surprise that hopefully doesn’t fly under most radars. Even with my gripes, I can comfortably recommend TEVI to anyone looking for a solid Metroidvania with a bullet hell twist.
Read full review ↗Tevi is an exceptionally strong metroidvania-RPG, with a detailed combat system and a large number of enemies with varying attack patterns to use it against in intricate levels filled with hidden goodies.
Read full review ↗With metroidvania exploration, bullet hell intensity, JRPG narrative and aesthetic extension, and a lot of flexibility in its options, TEVI stands out in its medium with a well-produced execution in every detail. The long dialogues can hinder the pace of the game and the design of the areas is relatively simplistic, but this does not detract from the value of the work as a whole, being recommended to anyone who likes these styles. However, there is a bug that can prevent progress in one of the final areas and, consequently, the completion of the game. CreSpirit is already working on the solution.
Read full review ↗Tevi is a fantastic 2D Metroidvania with a colorful cast of characters. The visuals are appealing, the audio is bopping, and the game is accessible to players of all backgrounds. Whether you’re a fan of bullet hell shooters, Metroidvania games, or simply crave an immersive adventure, Tevi promises an unforgettable experience.
Read full review ↗Tevi’s greatest strength is in how much fun the game is to play with its actual mechanics. At its best, it’s an absolute masterclass in 2D action game design. Combat and movement flow together seamlessly to produce a fun and acrobatic gameplay experience that stands with the best of ‘em, regardless of whether we’re talking 2D or 3D, indie or AAA. The developers and publisher poured a lot of love and care into Tevi’s design and production. Unfortunately, it’s bogged down by a weak narrative that felt like more was put into its style than making something of genuine substance, resulting in some jagged and stunted edges. The incompleteness of its latter half led me to feel at least a touch of regret over what could have been. Still, the areas in which Tevi makes good on its potential are more than worth your playtime if you’re looking for enjoyable action-heavy 2D games, Metroidvanias, or even bullet hells.
Read full review ↗TEVI blends the soul of Metroidvanias with the heart of a bullet hell, and the result is unforgettable. Despite a lacklustre soundtrack and some repetitive enemy encounters, this is a rich, feature-filled adventure packed with fun characters and sweat-inducing boss fights that you owe it to yourself to play.
Read full review ↗Overall, Tevi is a beautiful-looking side-scrolling metroidvania with bullet hell and RPG elements. A heavy load of dialogue slows things down initially, but there's a deep game hiding beneath the surface with satisfying action and gameplay.
Read full review ↗TEVI is a fantastic 2D Metroidvania. One that is fun to play for just about all levels of gaming ability, but it’s also a replayable one and has plenty of content you can run through, backgrounded by beautiful visuals and fun music. An easy recommendation for the action platformer fan and then some.
Read full review ↗TEVI is a solid action-adventure platformer bullet hell button bashing metroidvania-like game. It features a tonne of customization via the Sigil system and a lot of fast-paced action. The game isn’t as open as it should be and is rather linear instead but that doesn’t mean that it’s bad. It’s definitely worth picking up and playing through and chances are that you’ll have a blast in doing so. CreSpirit have done a great job here and I hope to see them developing even better titles in the future!
Read full review ↗One of the deepest combat systems in a Metroidvania to date, combined with a gripping story and some striking visuals. In a genre that has heavy hitters at the top, Tevi stands among them.
