So, while there are elements of Tales of Xillia that don't quite measure up to today's standards, the core adventure remains rock solid, and the remaster brings some welcome additions and extras to the table. This PS3 RPG deserved a good re-release, and it's got one.

It still delivers a charming JRPG experience with its own unique identity, along with an engaging story and a strong cast of characters, as expected from the series. In doing so, Bandai Namco continues its successful efforts to reintroduce classic entries through welcome and meaningful improvements, with the hope that this project will bring more Tales titles to modern platforms.
