Swan Song is a beautiful reminder that puzzle games do not need pressure or spectacle to leave a lasting impact. Its inventive music based mechanics, relaxing pace, and touching story come together to create an experience that is both intellectually satisfying and emotionally moving. While its slow pacing and familiar structure may not appeal to everyone, those willing to embrace its quiet rhythm will discover one of the year's most memorable indie puzzlers.

Read full review ↗Swan Song offers a different experience from most puzzle games by using its puzzles not only as gameplay challenges, but also as a way to tell a touching human story about grief, loss, and family relationships. Through its creative ideas and calm atmosphere, the game successfully blends satisfying puzzle-solving with a strong desire to uncover more of its emotional narrative. While it may not appeal to players seeking difficult challenges, it delivers a beautiful emotional journey that is well worth experiencing for anyone looking for a heartfelt story and fresh, unconventional puzzle design.

Read full review ↗Each new hurdle Swan Song introduced felt like another hurdle Amber had to face through her sickness. It also felt like the hurdles Tristan and Edith also had to face, as family sickness affects everyone. Business Goose Studios clearly shows they understand this and presents this game with grace and empathy. I would recommend anyone to take the time to listen to and play a very real story, which Swan Song is. As stated, this is a gradual story with easy-to-solve puzzles. If you have a little patience, this could be a wonderful exposé into a realistic narrative. For that reason alone, I would award Swan Song a Thumb Culture Silver Award.
