It feels like a strong foundation for a sequel that could expand the world, deepen build diversity, and refine combat into something truly memorable. It is an enjoyable but average roguelite shooter. If you value atmosphere and style over mechanical depth, especially in a dark western setting, you will likely have a good time.

Soulslinger: Envoy of Death is good, but it could be better. The latter half of my review feels quite negative, but I enjoyed Soulslinger: Envoy of Death. The core concept is solid, and I love the story and the characters. Furthermore, the audio is excellent, and there is considerable potential. However, I cannot ignore the negatives. Thankfully, each of these development points can be ironed out, and when this happens, it will be an incredible arena-based shooter. Accordingly, I recommend buying it and playing it with an open mind!

Soulslinger: Envoy of Death has one of the most interesting premises in the roguelite FPS genre — but missing balance, repetitive arenas and occasional performance issues keep it from becoming what it could be.

Soulslinger: Envoy of Death is both a great idea and a missed opportunity. Combining FPS and roguelite in a supernatural setting set in a Western afterlife shaken by a mysterious organization... well, it's certainly intriguing. It's a shame, though, that once you pick up the controller, the game never really takes off. The technical aspects are uneven, the gunplay lacks impact, the progression is uninspiring, and the level design is ill-suited to the desired dynamism of the gameplay. In any case, it remains an enjoyable title for a few hours of lighthearted fun.

Soulslinger: Envoy of Death is a promising roguelite FPS title that combines fast-paced gameplay with an arena-style shooter and a Western-themed aesthetic. The story and its narrative are engaging, and the gameplay—including the steadily increasing difficulty of the battles—is entertaining. There’s truly great potential here, and thanks to the developers’ promising roadmap, this title is definitely worth (at least) keeping an eye on. For fans of this genre, it will undoubtedly become a time-sink.

Soulslinger: Envoy of Death is a title that has interesting ideas and classic roguelike mechanics, but unfortunately it still doesn't manage to be a 100% complete and interesting experience. The gameplay manages to entertain, albeit with some problems in terms of enemy artificial intelligence, while the level of performance is certainly the most negative aspect of the experience. It is a title to keep an eye on, which with some improvements and caution could certainly invite us to give it a second chance.

Soulslinger: Envoy of Death stands out with a striking visual identity and a bold narrative proposal, creatively blending western and dark fantasy. However, this potential is partially compromised by performance issues, an unbalanced progression pace, and steep difficulty, which may put off less patient players or those unfamiliar with the roguelike genre, which may lead to eventual disinterest in the game.

Never reaching its true potential, Soulslinger: Envoy of Death muddles its strengths with technical issues. Lacking balance, its power fantasy quickly makes way for tedium and annoyance.
