There are a few lingering bugs here, but for the most part, Solium Infernum is a devilishly tricky backstab simulator that's rich with strategic possibility. Its handful of solo scenarios are meaty and challenging, but the long tail here is definitely in its multiplayer.

We hope that discounts and word of mouth will allow this great, unique strategy game to gain the popularity it deserves.

This is a very complex and fun game that will force you to use your head and think through every step. At the same time, it successfully fulfills the fantasy of war and diplomatic skirmishes and intrigues in hell, not only with gameplay, but also with good artistic processing.

In this devilish game of thrones, you scheme or suffer a terrible insult. And maybe put a few friendships on ice.

Solium Infernum is an exquisite gamer, with carefully honed mechanics and a lot of freedom. Dominating Hell involves both careful plans and smart reactions to unforeseen events and surprises created by adversaries.

Solium Infernum gives an unexpected, brilliant and fresh (!) twist to 4X games and we loved that every decision actual matters in hell.

Solium Infernum brings its own unique take on turn-based strategy, not so much in substance as in form, but in an equally satisfying way. Its strong focus on gameplay based on political and diplomatic decisions gives it a unique flavour that shines especially in its multiplayer aspect.

Solium Infernum does a great job capturing the machinations of Hell's denizens in a fun strategy game that doesn't overstay its welcome. Amazing artwork and some unique mechanics help it to shine, though some tedious systems drag the pace down in longer games.

Solium Infernum already has its fans, but more so than the original, it feels as if this remake, given its extremely specific brand of prolonged negotiations and conniving, will live and die by whether it grows that dedicated audience. Perhaps the greatest compliment I can pay Solium Infernum is that I very much hope it finds one so I can play more of it.
