Solid and definitely have an audience. There could be some hard-to-ignore faults, but the experience is fun.

Pac-Man World Re-Pac is a fun look Pac in time to an era where 3D platformers were far more prominent than they are today. While it doesn't quite outclass some of its contemporaries like Crash Bandicoot Warped and Super Mario 64, Pac-Man World isn't one to miss if you're looking for another solid 3D platforming adventure. Depending on how you view the new difficulty balances (or if you just really love Ms. Pac-Man) this is undoubtedly the best way to experience the PS1 classic.

Pac-Man World Re-Pac isn't a game that we'd suggest you rush out and buy at once, but it does a good job of reviving a decent 3D platformer for modern audiences. Tight controls, lots of collectables, and enjoyable level design ultimately outweigh minor performance hiccups, and a general lack of imagination. If you don't consider yourself a fan of platforming or Pac-Man, nothing here is going to change your mind and we'd suggest you pass. If you like classic-style 3D platformers, Pac-Man World Re-Pac will absolutely prove itself worth your time, even if it doesn't impress like the best in the genre.

Pac-Man World Re-PAC Edition might be worth checking out if you’re extremely curious about the game, genre, or even the time period it comes from, but there are just better games to spend your time with. If you insist then just try to get it on sale, or better yet, during its inevitable visit to Xbox Game Pass before making its way to the bargain bin.

Pac-Man World Re-Pac is a faithful remake of the PS1 game, retaining the original's best features as well as its flaws.

I really enjoyed my time with Pac-Man World Re-PAC. Like I mentioned, it feels like a PS1 game, which can be both a good and a bad thing. The new, gorgeous graphics almost made me feel like I was playing a brand new game, but once I actually got into some stages, those nearly thirty year old, early 3D platformer mechanics and antiquated level designs were made more apparent. I think the game has a ton of charm to it though, and I found it to be quite enjoyable, despite its rougher edges. It's a relatively brief experience too, as I finished it in under eight hours. If you can grab it on sale, I really think you'll find a nice value in Pac-Man World Re-PAC.

PAC-MAN World Re-PAC is a fun, but somewhat mediocre platformer for today's market

Pac-Man World Re-Pac brings back the 1999 original and successfully adapts its visual world as well as control mechanics to our day, thus making a great effort at modernizing Pac-Man's platformer effort. While these are very welcome steps the game's foundations remain steeped in their time and as such, the levels are rather similar and with no links between them, while the camera is somewhat limited, in elements that are reminiscent of the original game's era. All in all, Re-Pac is a fun if by no means profound experience that will please fans of one of gaming's most iconic characters and of 1990s platformers.

Much of the game design in Pac-Man World Re-Pac is very standard and is what you would expect from a early 3D platformer from the PlayStation. What makes it unique and still interesting is the distinct Pac-Man-isms, stage gimmicks, and theming. Without that, this would be a plain 3D platformer.
