Fans of 3D platformers will likely have a decent time with it, particularly if they enjoyed the original, but there are enough frustrations that hold this game back from being an easy recommendation.
Read full review ↗I don't want to let my moan about the final boss overshadow the review. There's still a fun game here, and a lovely remaster of a well-loved platformer. The things it does well - the personality of Pac-Man, friends, and enemies in the cut scenes, the variety in the gameplay - shine brightly. For those with nostalgia for the original, I'm sure you'll enjoy your 'Re-Pac'-aged version. It's been made with love. For non-fans, however, this is a more difficult purchase to justify.Arguably, the price is a little steep for what's on offer, and some lingering retro-frustrations in the execution of the 3D platforming and boss fights might sit badly with an audience expecting a game with the finesse of more modern alternatives. Sure, even Donkey Kong Bananza has its share of cheap deaths, but the truth is Pac-Man World 2: Re-Pac isn't in the same league. Short, sweet, prettified, retro, and not for everybody; those are the keywords here.

Read full review ↗Pac-Man World 2 Re-PAC is more than just a remaster; it is what the original title should have been. It contains double the content, introduces new moves and abilities, and refines the existing levels. While the original wasn't game-changing, Re-PAC is a solid linear platformer and a great callback to the "good old days."
Read full review ↗As a seasoned fan of 3D Platformers, Pac-Man World 2 RePac was a game I was eagerly looking forward to after it was revealed. Pac-Man is a series that could be so much more than fun arcade adventures. Strong reworked level design, tight platforming controls, challenging boss encounters, and a shockingly long post-game, alongside strong visuals and music, make this one meal you want a second course of.
Read full review ↗PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC is a must-have for fans of the World series games. Bandai Namco has done an excellent job with its latest remakes, and this is the definitive way to play the second game in the series.
Read full review ↗Pac-Man World 2 Re-PAC is the shining example of how older games should be remade, completely from the ground up, modernising where needed while still retaining the Saturday morning cartoon quality of the characters and gameplay that made it such a classic in the first place.
Read full review ↗Despite the return of Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac as an enhanced version, it ultimately offers a mid-level platforming experience that does not live up to expectations. While it is true that the game carries some enjoyable touches, such as the variety of boss ideas in encounters and the addition of simple improvements to puzzles that add a bit of diversification, this is not enough to compensate for the absence of any element of innovation or a distinctive touch that makes it a truly different experience. With the short lifespan of the game and the adventure ending quickly, alongside mediocre music that leaves no clear impact on the player, and characters without identity, the experience as a whole becomes very ordinary—as if it were just an attempt to re-present the past without real development or any mentionable addition. Nevertheless, this experience remains the best experience for this game, and I have high expectations for the enhanced version of the third part or a completely new game.
Read full review ↗Pac-Man World 2 Re-PAC brings back a classic 3D platformer with simple mechanics, varied biomes and a well-balanced difficulty curve. It does show its age, but remains fun, accessible and highly replayable thanks to challenges, minigames and collectibles.
