Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 refines the gameplay to the absolute best of the series and offers a large roster of playable characters. Unfortunately, it squanders all of that potential with a short and poorly presented campaign fought against buggy AI, a forgettable Adventure Mode and online matches that are plagued with connectivity problems. The Ultimate Ninja Storm series sadly does not end on a high note.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is a great-looking, fast-paced anime fighting game that remains true to its roots for better and for worse.

If, like me, you fell off the Naruto bandwagon during the early parts of Ninja War, it's a great way to put a few hours in and still know how the whole narrative ended up playing out.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is easily one of the best entries in the series, and is arguably one of the greatest anime fighters to be released in some time. CyberConnect2's flair for creating stunning action scenarios is at its brightest in the game's superb story mode, but even when it's over, a hefty amount of content, both online and offline, and a thoroughly enjoyable, reworked combat system will see fans through well into the future. The storm may be about to pass with this final instalment, but there's no denying that it's provided one heck of a light show.

If you're a Naruto fan or just interested in a colourful brawler to waste a few hours on then you've found it with Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4. To that end, this game is great. If you're looking for something deeper or more complex, then this probably is not it… Still, it makes for a better fighter than J-Stars Victory VS.

Bandai Namco knows what their fans want in a Naruto game and for the most part, they have delivered. The game has solid controls and an outstanding roster of characters but suffers from too many flaws to allow the average gamer to drop $60 right now. Wait for this one to show up in a bargain bin because the few things added into the series at this point do nothing to make up for its shortcomings.

Whether you haven’t played a Naruto game or want to experience the extra Road to Boruto content, Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto is one of the best anime fighters around. Its huge roster of characters, great recap of the last few anime arcs, and awesome porting job make this one a must have on the Switch.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road To Boruto is a really well-done port of the original game on the Nintendo Switch offering a complete package full of content for fans of the anime to enjoy. While the combat system of the game isn’t the deepest there is still a lot of fun to be had especially thanks to the very stylish and jaw-dropping visuals that CyberConnect2 has been known for since the start of the Ultimate Ninja Storm series. I can recommend it to anime fans who are huge into Naruto but haven’t had the chance to play this game on other systems.

Despite a great and exciting gameplay, Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 has a weak story. Using anime's original voice actors and great music are the strong points of the game but online problems is unacceptable for a 4th installment of a franchise.
