Though satisfying, its questionable replayability due to a limited catalogue means you must slow down and enjoy experimentation, else you’re at risk of finding this title tedious, as I did, by playing it in one go. Hozy had the potential to blend its relaxing and creative core with a narrative-driven underbelly, but sadly underdelivers on emotional impact.

Hozy is a simple and cozy game that doesn’t try to be anything more than a brief moment of respite. Hozy remains a title worth checking out, especially for those tired of the daily rush and games based on nonstop action. It’s a peaceful experience that lets you pause for a moment and simply relax. And everyone needs that from time to time, even if it’s not the perfect form of relaxation.

Hozy is an chill renovation simulator that perfectly captures the feeling of cleaning and decorating. It stands out for its sound design and a light but heartfelt plot, though it suffers from inconsistent performance.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Hozy. It is graphically stunning and manages to make mundane tasks like cleaning the area, washing the floor and painting the walls fun. If you are a fan of interior designing but don’t want to get your hands dirty and obliterate your wallet, this is an easy recommendation.

Hozy is a relaxing and straightforward refurbishment simulator that isn’t trying to reinvent the wheel, nor is it trying to demand too much attention from you. It features just enough elements to keep you entertained (good visuals, decent controls, a gameplay loop that won’t bore you) while you’re listening to a podcast, for instance. Whilst I think they should have given players more freedom in terms of how much stuff you have to shove into a room before a level is complete, it is so easygoing and devoid of stakes, you won’t end up minding about this issue that much.

Ultimately, what stands out about Hozy is a sense of untapped potential. The game has a solid foundation, a strong visual identity, and a well-crafted atmosphere, but it ends too soon. It feels more like an extended demo than a full-fledged experience, which is all the more frustrating given that you can tell there was potential for so much more. With more content, more precise controls, and, above all, the addition of a sandbox mode, the game could have established itself as a benchmark in the genre.

Hozy was one of my most anticipated games of the year, and it didn’t disappoint at all. The developers have promised extra content down the line, but even now, the game is just cozy enough to replay each level, without hurrying, leisurely, cozily. If you like interior design games and you are in the mood for something short, but very cute, Hozy is definitely worth a look.

All in all, Hozy is a very cozy game that provides a fun and relaxing experience, perfect for a comfy afternoon. Even though the game is a bit short, the vibes are there and the attention to detail makes every minute worth it. If you are looking for a fun little game to switch your brain off, this is definitely a cute one to pick up. If you want a more custom experience, maybe wait for the teased updates to release, but even right now, the game is already worth giving a shot! Today, I am giving Hozy the Thumb Culture Gold Award!

Hozy is a satisfying renovation sim that perfectly captures the cozy aesthetic. While the campaign is brief and the camera can be finicky, the core loop of transforming cluttered spaces is deeply rewarding. It’s an ideal, low-pressure choice for players looking to unwind through creative decoration.

There are parts of Hozy that make it seem like there could be more to its systems. On the other hand, what Hozy offers is simple enough to fill the niche of cozy relaxation. It ends up falling in a place where “more” is the first thing that comes to mind.
