My summarised answer as to whether or not you should pick up Haste is: “yeah, duh”. Do it right away. It stands out from a sea of generic roguelites by being completely focused on just a few core concepts, namely momentum, speed, and platforming. Thankfully, Haste delivers in all of these aspects, so what we have here is an incredibly charming game that is easy to pick up, hard to master, and even harder for you to stop playing.

Haste: Broken Worlds is the answer to the question "what would happen if Sonic the Hedgehog had sex with Tiny Wings"? And the answer is a must play arcade/roguelike game.

Haste stands out within the roguelike format and will certainly find its fans, but it becomes repetitive in the very moments where it should grow and evolve mechanically.

Haste is the game to go fast. The strong colors, the pressing music, the landscapes full of obstacles and the acceleration system are a concentrate of adrenaline that becomes difficult to do without if you are looking for an extremely stimulating video game experience.

HASTE Broken Worlds is fantastic. It’s a constant assault on the senses in the best way. It immerses you in its world as the player looks forward to the next run. Its sense of speed and momentum is unrivaled, even beating out a certain blue hedgehog.

HASTE: Broken Worlds delivers momentum and speed in one of the most satisfying 3D action games in recent memory. With a unique art style and cool sci-fi premise, the protagonist whips through the universe with incredibly enjoyable and smooth controls.

Haste: Broken Worlds is a game that thrives on its gameplay feel, even if there isn’t much outside of its main missions that might catch you. Zoe and the rest of the cast might not have caught my imagination from a story standpoint, but knowing I can return to this game at any time to get new procedurally generated levels is the highest selling point for this game. Listening to the music as you speed through courses with tons of obstacles thrown at you is a high octane rush that I wish I could get more of in video games.

Fast, high-octane action and an addictively moreish premise; Haste is an experiment that really shouldn’t work but absolutely does. It’s certainly not perfect, but what’s here makes this one of 2025’s best arcade games so far.

Haste is a great game if you like fast-paced action, roguelikes, or just games that test your reflexes and accuracy. You'll keep playing it over and over again just to get that perfect run. It's a must-play for anyone who loves a good challenge.
