Going Medieval is still a fun game for colony model fans. This is definitely worth your time if you liked games like RimWorld and have been looking for something that takes that idea to a whole new level.
Read full review ↗Once you get over Going Medieval's initial learning curve, there's a joyously complex survival city builder to dig into.
Read full review ↗If you want to build and develop your settlement in peace or spice things up with some combat skirmishes, Going Medieval is great. Compared to other games of this type, there are fewer options and the technologies are less interesting, which may be due to the strict medieval setting, which tries to be realistic. However, mods can help with this.
Read full review ↗There's already a lot to like, and if future updates are well handled, Going Medieval could easily become one of the best Colony Simulators out there. The survival aspects are both realistic and fun, as are the construction and resource management portions of the game.
Read full review ↗Hyper complete, both in the management and in the exploration of type STR 4X, and even in the RPG of survival, the developer tried to think of everything and it is successful. Maybe a little too complete besides for players who do not like to think too much when they play. But for others, it's pure happiness. If you enjoy the medieval, stop playing Valheim, play Going Medieval. It's not necessarily prettier but it's much more addictive.
Read full review ↗Going Medieval is a great building game inspired by RimWorld. The title may be in the very early stages of early access, but it still manages to offer a lot of fun for a few hours. You have several options here to build your colony and make it as big a kingdom as possible. If Foxy Voxel manages to implement all the promised elements into the game, it could make for a great building game. Going Medieval can be purchased on Steam for €22.99.
