Dracamar has a nice idea of what it wants to be, I just don't think the feel of the game matches its charm. Its platforming is serviceable, and the transformations of Oki can be interesting, but Dracamar chooses the safest path at every opportunity. If you are new to platformers, then I can see someone enjoying this, even if there are countless better examples on the platform, but experienced players can easily skip this one.
Read full review ↗Overall, Dracamar will not set the world on fire with its gameplay, but if you are looking for a fun and cosy platformer to play over a long weekend, or you are looking for something to get a younger child into gaming with a fun, cute art style, then Dracamar is for you.
Read full review ↗Dracamar offers a charming 3D platforming experience that will appeal to players of all ages. While its simple mechanics and exploration elements provide a casual level of entertainment, the difficulty in accessing progression features is the primary factor undermining its potential. Camera-related modeling issues and text input problems stand as areas with room for improvement, particularly in light of the level design.
Read full review ↗If you’re a fan of classic 3D platformers, Dracamar evokes those in all the right ways. It may feel like a lost oddity from another continent and generation, but as far as I’m concerned, that’s all part of its charm.
Read full review ↗Overall, I did enjoy the game even though it seemed to be geared towards a younger audience with the visuals and simplistic story and characters.
Read full review ↗Dracamar will appeal to a niche audience despite its colourful and simple design. Although I appreciated the nod to a bygone era, I’m not sure it will attract a large following. This is a shame, as I think the safe gameplay, smooth action, and interesting stage design make this a low-key but great addition to the genre. Accordingly, I enjoyed it and recommend grabbing a copy from the Xbox store!
Read full review ↗If I had to sum it up in a few words, it’s a comfortable, attractive and easy-to-play game, but also quite basic. Perfect for casual gamers or anyone looking for something laid-back, but perhaps not so much for those seeking a challenge or something truly innovative.
Read full review ↗Dracamar is a humble, simple, and effective platformer. It doesn't stand out for its innovation or for offering a particularly deep experience, but it knows exactly what it wants to be and delivers on that promise.
Read full review ↗Dracamar is a solid 3D platformer featuring surprisingly long levels and a generally grounded level design. Due to its low difficulty and straightforward structure, it is especially well suited for younger players and newcomers to the genre. Aside from a few minor technical imperfections—particularly in relation to culling—the game is presented in a generally well-executed manner, giving Dracamar a polished enough overall impression. This makes it a recommendable entry in the genre.
