Online multiplayer is supported and you can play the minigames standalone if you like. Additionally, a raffle mechanic allows you to unlock profile customisation items. But ultimately your enjoyment will come down to how much you want a Mario Party game on your PS5, because right now, this is your only option.

If you're a die-hard Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba fan, you and your friends might find enough enjoyment in Demon Slayer – Sweep the Board to get you through a game or two. However, the underwhelming and forgettable minigames, glacial pace of the gameplay, and connection issues that made online play unusable for us greatly overshadowed this party game's positive points.

Sweep the Board is a fun party game that’ll hold you and your family slash friends’ attention for the night. If you don’t have any of that, you could always go online and make new ones that way. But I think you’ll get most of your mileage out of this game by being a fan of Demon Slayer.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep The Board! appeals to a very specific type of player: someone who's already a big fan of the series and also loves digital board games. The concept is fine, and the day/night cycle and demon fights make this an intriguing party game. That said, between the mediocre collection of minigames, small board selection, unfair CPU characters, and poor online performance, there's not much to keep players interested for very long. It's not a terrible party game, but you'll only be tempted to grab it if you really, really need to play a party game.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board! is for a very specific target audience, but others may find it all a bit too baffling.

Demon Slayer: Sweep the Board adds some twists to the party board game formula, though its main mechanics could've been made more engaging by making them more competitive. Its mini-games could also be better as they're fairly easy. Still, the game should offer a good time for Demon Slayer fans, especially for in-person get-togethers.

Despite some flaws likely due to a low budget, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Sweep the Board has all the elements to become a fan favorite. With simple and fun gameplay mechanics, functional and varied mini-games, it hits the mark by creating an entertaining title. The option to choose the number of turns allows you to manage your time, whether for a short, medium, or long game, keeping you engaged for over an hour. It's a must for fans and lovers of peaceful yet dynamic party games, despite its graphical shortcomings that could have made it truly essential.

I would only recommend it to people who are fans of party video games, but at once they should keep in mind that it is not even going to reach the levels of fun that a Mario one can provide us. Honestly, I would think twice before buying it, especially because a much better product will arrive in October for Switch.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Sweep the Board! It may even seem like a product dedicated to fans of the celebrated Oni hunter franchise, but it ends up being a poorly balanced copy of other games in the genre, without much to offer other than lukewarm fun for lazy family afternoons.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Sweep the Board is a party game on our PlayStation console, but it's not entirely convincing. Sweep the Board provides countless hours of fun, but the variety is not quite there. After a long dry spell, SEGA brings us an average party game on our consoles.
