Cat Quest II is a charming little action RPG. Its simple mechanics result in a game which is hugely enjoyable for literally anybody to pick up and play, all backed up by some fantastic design work and infectious humour which never fails to bring a smile to your face. Diehard RPG fanatics might find it's a little on the easy side, but that doesn't take away from the fact that it's genuinely good fun to play.

There may be more than one way to skin a cat, but there is one and only one way to play Cat Quest II: slowly spiraling into madness after you’ve tackled the 46th identical dungeon in a row. This is a non-stop barrage of repetition that was designed by an evil scientist who got their PhD in “boredom and cats in new media”. On one hand it’s polished, cute, and moderately tolerable in short bursts — the sort of thing that might appeal to younger players or families. On the other, basically everything else. The game earns some minimal points for presentation and for doing exactly what it sets out to do. However, it loses all those points and more once it drops its hundredth unfunny cat pun. Going in expecting depth, genuine progression, or inventive combat encounters is a fool’s errand. This is a pretty easy one to skip and no one really needs to get their paws on it.

This cute pun is a must for all cat and dog lovers. You'll enjoy it twice as much in co-op, but even as a lone wolf you won't regret it. It's exactly the kind of game where you think "I'll finish one more dungeon and turn it off," and suddenly it's three in the morning. Beautiful colorful environment, constant action, full of quests and the excitement of a bitter fight is complemented by pleasant music. Two cute playable characters that you can switch between at any time are the biggest plus. Cat Quest II definitely did well for the developers at The Gentlebros, even if it doesn't differ much from the first one.

Despite these supposedly numerous negative aspects, the game has a pull that I could only escape from once I’d played through it. If you’re looking for a simple, short game to switch off with, this is the one for you. However, if you’re expecting a complex role-playing game, you’d be better off with the big RPGs. As is so often the case, it depends on your personal situation; for me, the timing was spot on during the stressful period of the COVID-19 pandemic, and I’d devour a potential third instalment just as eagerly as I did the two predecessors.

While it focuses to be appealing for kids this adventure RPG has tons of humor and a joyful story. IT could be a good experience for the whole family it gets repetitive but on the Budget it’s acceptable.

Are you a cat lover, or a dog lover? Well we might just have the purrfect game for you. This game is no dog’s dinner, in fact its quite ameowzing. Not ruff around the edges at all. Ok now that I’ve got all those puns out the way (not sure I believe that one, I’m sure they’ll be some paw) it’s time to talk about the game. The first Cat Quest is an action RPG where you play a cat across a large open map to complete multiple side quests, sort out the big bad, and save the day of course. Cat Quest II does all that but also adds a dog, and most importantly lets you play co op
