Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered

Much of Modern Warfare 2 has aged pretty well, and the remaster is very well-done, but the 2019 reboot casts a shadow.

Time has been kind to Modern Warfare 2. The resonance of this particular entry is demonstrated with heartfelt passion in Beenox' high-gloss, finely-tuned remaster. While the overall package is slim and the asking price no doubt steep for some tastes, there's no denying that MW 2's provocative and exciting campaign has aged like wine, an explosive roller-coaster still worth riding.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered is a welcome trip down memory lane. It may have ditched the revolutionary multiplayer offering and Spec Ops mode, but what has been brought into the modern era manages to stand on its own two feet. It still suffers from design choices of old, but this is an intense, enjoyable single player campaign that's more than worth your time.

For nostalgia, and to see a piece of media from a very different time, Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is definitely worth the price of entry. A shockingly good Call of Duty campaign.

Though Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered doesn't include multiplayer and the Spec Ops, it's still a captivating and exhilarating experience that shows why Modern Warfare 2 will always be a true masterpiece.

If you are an old fan of the game, I sincerely recommend you to pick up this game and relieve one of the most iconic Call of Duty campaigns. And if you weren’t playing when MW2 was originally released and you know nothing about this game, I can only say: go get it NOW!

The story still holds relevance, and there’s some wonderful nostalgia to go along with it now. This is a game begging to be a more complete package with additional modes, that just aren’t here. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered comes in at a scant $20, and remains one of the best single-player experiences ever.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is a great upgrade to the campaign, at the same time this does come across as limited with it missing two huge components of what the game so unique upon its initial release.
