Why play it
Beyond Solar is a bullet hell / SHMUP pixel art game. You play the protagonist “Gravity” a space ship pilot who grew up in the space colony “ARD”, humanity last hope and shelter as planet Earth was on the brink of extinction.
Story and worldbuilding
What if the meteor shower that destroyed Earth… wasn’t natural at all? Generations ago, humanity fled to the orbital colony ARD, leaving Earth behind after a “meteor storm” scorched the surface. But now, a mysterious distress signal calls you back and you discover the truth: the meteors were the first alien strike, and a resistance still fights on Earth’s surface. You are Gravity, a skilled pilot caught between duty, family, and survival. Guided first by your sister Aurora, and later joined by resistance fighter Ryan, you must uncover fragments of the past, face overwhelming alien forces, and make the ultimate choice: defend Earth in a last stand, or save ARD in orbit.
