Beholder 2 is a bold shift in direction from the original game, and that works well for creating a fresh environment to explore.

Beholder 2 is a great adventure game, where we will have to find out a murder, do whatever it takes to ascend in a ministry full of corrupt people, disloyalties and tripping. A graphic style to black novel, peculiar and striking.

Beholder 2 is an entertaining title with high replay values due to having several endings, and if you didn’t get a chance to try it on PC or Switch before, now is the best time to go for it on either PS4 or XBOX1. Be warned though, that the endings that are expecting you are gonna be some of the most dramatic ones you have ever experienced.

This picks up up where its predecessor left off.

If you love unique graphics, Orwellian or Soviet-era literature, dark comedy, and torturing your co-workers, then Beholder Two will keep you entertained for a good 10-15 hours. The pre-order price is excellent at around $20 for PS Plus members and $25 for non-members.

Overall I enjoyed my time with Beholder 2. The story and sometimes gruesome settings showed the reality of an all-knowing and all-powerful totalitarian government. The emphasis on choice and sheer number of quests made me weigh all my options on how I wanted my story to unravel. Aside for some occasional annoyances in grinding for cash, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a deep and somber narrative that’s combined with thoughtful gameplay mechanics.

Whether you're a fan of adventure games, the dystopian genre, or you're looking to spice up your evening with simulated paperwork, Beholder 2 is sure to please. The plot may be predictable, but that's easy to overlook in the face of superb character writing.

In the end, Beholder 2 might not be able to compete with the big AAA titles out there in the visual and depth departments, but it is a solid sequel to the original.
