Set in a vibrant cartoon world and exploring relatable themes, Apopia: Sugar Coated Tale is a hidden gem in the adventure genre that sees you saving the Kingdom of Yogurt while finding out more about yourself in the process.
Read full review ↗Apopia: Sugar Coated Tale is a beautifully hand-drawn adventure with a distinctive sense of humor—one that offers more depth than its lighthearted tone and quirky characters might suggest at first glance. What we’ll never know, however, is how it might have turned out if it had been released four years earlier as a more compact experience, with fewer filler sections.
Read full review ↗Apopia Sugar Coated Tale is a very friendly game with strong themes (depression, feeling of abandonment, loss of loved ones, and on a more explicit level, dictatorship). All worn by very friendly characters and a gameplay made of mini-games that change from table to board. A nice adventure to recommend.

Read full review ↗Apopia: Sugar Coated Tale is a charming yet surprisingly dark adventure well worth experiencing. While the gameplay occasionally slips with backtracking, Mai's journey is one I'm very glad to have experienced.
